It's that time of year again when we get to have Logan's annual check-up for his Heart Block. This year instead of going to Primary Children's Hospital, we visited Logan Regional. It was nice to not have to travel the 1 1/2 hours to Salt Lake, but at the same time we missed it. Logan's doctor that we have seen for 3 years wasn't around any more. He moved to Michigan to head up their cardiology department. We were bummed, but the new doctor we saw was good with Logan. We decided it was alright. He had his usual EKG and X-ray. The doctor said his heart looks good structurally, just really slow (which we already knew). The tech that took his x-ray told him he needed to smile really big for his picture. In typical Logan style, he smiled the no-teeth grin.

Logan also got to wear the Holter Monitor for 24 hours. This is his most un-favorite thing to do. He was very self conscience when he went to school, and by the time he was ready to go to bed the tape was making him so itchy. He was very excited to have it taken off the next day.We had quite the run around after it was taken off and examined. The nurse said she saw some disturbances that made her uncomfortable and didn't dare send us home. We had to make a visit to one of the pediatricians to determine if all was alright. After three hours, the cardiologist at Primary's compared last years with his new one and he was the same. We were quite concerned for a while, wondering if we would be making a trip to SLC for pace maker surgery. We are so happy that it is not that time yet. Eventually we will see that day, but as for now all is well.
