For the past couple of weeks our furnace has been acting up. We would wake up in the morning to freezing cold temperatures and I would have to go down and reset the furnace. Talk about frustrating. Today however the furnace wasn't as cooperative. I had to call our trusty ( i hope he is ) heating man to come for a visit. After about 30 min I decided to check on him to see what could possible be wrong, he told me I didn't want to know. Needless to say the whole electrical board needed to be replaced, which wasn't cheap. All I can say is we are staying warm now!
We also had to dip into our vacation fund to pay a bill that somehow got missed when we closed on our loan for our new addition. I sure hope the real Friday the 13th only gets better, because today was one of those days you wished never happened. I guess if it didn't happen though I would've missed out on the call that told me I got the job. I start on Tuesday for training. So much for the extra money......it is now going to pay for the things that happened before the call came.

Congratulations on the job! It's kinda weird that you're going back to work, you've stayed at home for so long. That's great though, it's a perfect schedule! That sucks about the furnace, I hate those unexpected things that are always SO expensive!
I had a day like that when our tree fell on our neighbor's friend's truck and I got an outrageous water bill. A few things miraculously fell into place, though, and we had some money appear out of no where. Thank goodness for tithing! I know that we were blessed for our obedience, and what could have taken a big chunk out of our savings ended up just proving to me that the Lord will take care of us if we follow his commandments. Just like he's taking care of you with your new job! Congratulations!
Sorry to hear about the furnace. Surprise bills are no fun!
Congrats on the job! You'll do great!
When it rains it pours! Congrats on getting the job!
Congratulations are in order! I hope that Zach loves his school. That stinks about the furnace, thank goodness for savings!
PS I am serious about a RISK night!
wish it had been something simple like the filter.....
However now you have a new furnace to go along with the new addition....
Cynthia
